Every behavior has a purpose. Understand the function. Teach the solution.

Training that makes Sense!

The most successful learning occurs in an environment of trust and safety-not one shaped by pain or fear.

Behavioral Solutions

  • Dog Aggression

Not all dogs enjoy the company of others—and for some, interactions can become stressful or unsafe. Whether the behavior is driven fear, frustration or being overly aroused, I’ll work to create a plan that prioritizes safety, clarity and emotional well-being for both you and your dog.

  • People Aggression

Aggression toward people is often rooted in fear, stress or past experiences. Whether it shows up as growling, snapping, or biting, I’ll take a comprehensive approach to understand the emotional drivers behind the behavior and develop a realistic, safety-focused plan to support long-term change.

  • Anxiety Issues

From noise phobias and compulsive behaviors to separation anxiety, destructive habits, excessive jumping, and stress-related potty issues—anxiety can take many forms. We’ll uncover the root cause and build practical strategies to help your dog feel safe and confident.

  • Puppy Training or Basic Manners

Whether you’re starting fresh with a puppy or refining skills in an adult dog, foundational training builds the framework for a well-adjusted companion. We’ll focus on everyday behaviors like leash walking, recall, polite greetings and impulse control to help your dog succeed at home and in the real world.

  • Service Dog Skills

I support individuals training their own well-behaved dogs by focusing on task-based skills like retrieving items, closing doors, and turning on lights, along with public access readiness and reliable obedience. While the ADA does not require or recognize official certification, I can help lay the foundation for a capable and confident working partner.

  • Exotics

Training exotic animals requires specialized knowledge and a tailored approach. I offer behavior support and training for local exotics like parrots, pigs, goats, horses and chickens. For animals in a zoological setting, virtual consultations are available to address behavioral concerns, husbandry challenges and enrichment plans.
